Xavier VEILHAN

Born in 1963, he lives and works in Paris.

Xavier Veilhan has created an acclaimed body of work inspired by both classicism and high technology. 3D sculptures are at the heart of his whole work. His paintings are hybrid in nature: they take up the triangular shapes that make up the sculptures, each painted in one of the shades of the initial color and assembled like a puzzle. His work questions our perception and often generate an evolving ambulatory space in which the audience becomes an actor.

Martina Sauter

Martina Sauter investigates the image through photographs and film. By allowing imagery from both mediums to freely intermingle, she aims to create new spaces that are distinctly ambiguous. At times, fleeting traces of human characters can be seen, whilst others are devoid of such elements, taking the form of fragmented and metaphysical still lifes.

Philipp Timischl

Philipp Timischl’s paintings combine painting and video in one medium to create hybrid images. By combining elements of pop culture, kitsch, gender performance and digital media, he explores the collisions between image culture and identity. In an often humorous way, he highlights the difficulty of merging body and mind into an almost impossible unity in today’s world.

Mary Ramsden

Mary Ramsden’s paintings demonstrate the flexible and complex relationships between figuration and abstraction, the points where one yields to the other, the points where one resists the other. Uncertainty remains. Where representation is present in these paintings, it has a fleeting quality, as if Ramsden’s marks are not quite willing to be entirely subsumed within the pictorial, preferring to retain some autonomy.

Henry Taylor

Born in 1958, lives and works in Los Angeles

Henry Taylor became an artist lately, in the 1990s, on the advice of James Jarvaise, leader of the Californian abstract scene met at Oxnard, who recommended him to the California Institute of the Arts, while he was working as a psychiatric technician in a psychiatric hospital. It was here that Taylor developed his guiding sense of human connection while creating portraits of his patients.
