Pol Taburet

Born in 1997, he lives and works in Paris.

In his painting, sculpture, and installation work, Pol Taburet transforms space into an interior inhabited by beings on the border between human and spectral. He draws his inspiration from his Guadeloupean heritage, paying homage to the rites and figures associated with Voodoo beliefs and practices, as well as from folktales, cartoons, hip-hop videos, and art history—specifically Francis Bacon and Goya.
