Li Qing

Born in 1981, he lives in Hangzhou and Shanghai.

He is part of the new generation of Chinese international artists who are opening new paths for Chinese art. His work crosses references to history painting with media events in the contemporary world, subtly reflecting the ambiguities that make up contemporary Chinese society. Maintaining a dialectical game of observation, Li Qing places the artist figure both inside and outside of the story.
