Assan SMATI
Born in 1972, he lives and works in Trégon, France.
Assan Smati’s painting touches upon what should allow us to have a sensitive perception of the world. Each series of works offers Assan Smati the opportunity to immerse himself in a new technical challenge: printmaking, sculpture, painting, and drawing.
His work has been exhibited at the Villa Medici in Rome, the MAMAC in Nice, the Maeght Foundation in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, the Irish Museum of Contemporary Art in Dublin, the Hermès Corporate Foundation in Brussels, and the Thessaloniki Biennale of Contemporary Art.
