Born in 1980, he lives and works in New York.
Harold Ancart paints the promises of a marvelous place and period in which one could escape. His large scale paintings are marked by movement, biomorphic forms and landscapes. The work of Harold Ancart is articulated upon an assumed contradiction: in his paintings, the abstraction is laid bare, while the representation remains undeniably present.
