Anne NEUKAMP<\/h3>\n

Born in 1976, she lives and works in Berlin.<\/p>\n

Anne Neukamp\u2019s paintings intersect and intertwine paths, hovering between\u00a0Pop\u00a0reductionism and abstraction through the hybridization of signs produced by the communication industry, degraded and absorbed by her paintings.
\nShe allows these functional signs and images, designed for efficiency, to become fragments beneath layers of paint or to even disappear entirely. She puts them together in new and different ways, stripping them of their specific impact.\u00a0Each work is like a palimpsest, this parchment scraped for reuse. As a result, she gives rise to a new and questioning form, which refuses to be a manifest or obvious sign.<\/p>\n

Anne Neukamp is a graduate of the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts (HfBK). She was artist-in-residence at the International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP) in New York (2015). Selected exhibitions include those held at the Biennale de Lyon (R\u00e9sonance<\/em>, 2015), KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Berlin and Oldenburger Kunstverein (2013), and the Praha Biennale (2011). Her work is held in the Marcel Brient Collection (Paris), among others.
\nShe was shortlisted for the fifth edition of the Jean-Francois Prat Prize (2016).<\/p>\n
