Jem Perucchini proposes a contemporary painting on the mystery of what is being done, on the history seized in formation, on the connection between the cosmos and earth, based on the Italian Renaissance imagery. Creating an intimacy between the painted characters and the viewer, his portraits introduce the figure of the black person into Renaissance-inspired painting, without political purpose.<\/p>\n

Graduated from the Academia di Belle Arti in Brera (Milan), he has been exhibited in individual exhibitions at the Corvi- Mora gallery (London), in the public space for Una Boccata d\u2019Arte, in Battaglia Terme (Italy), in collective exhibitions at the Corvi-Mora Gallery (London) and at the Italian Embassy in London. He has realized a permanent work at the Brixton station, in London, as a part of the Art on the underground project.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
